Creating Movement like Van Gogh


Learn about one of the most famous artists of all time and create a work of art with the principle of “movement.”


In this art lesson, students learn about the famous Post-Impressionist artist, Vincent van Gogh. Then students complete a painting project focused on creating movement with short choppy brush strokes, like van Gogh.

This 23-page lesson plan includes the following:

  • A carefully crafted sentence about van Gogh (ideal for memorization)
