In-Person Watercolor Workshop: Feb 17, 2025 (Teacher: Julie Abels)

Description

Step into your journey as an artist with confidence!  Join me for a hands-on in-person watercolor workshop designed for beginners and returning students alike. Each month we explore a different watercolor skill. We’ll begin with about 20 minutes of focused instruction, where I’ll walk you through an essential watercolor concept on topics like water control, color mixing, value, or techniques. Then you’ll have the remaining time to paint the exercises and projects I present or something different that you bring with you. While you paint, I move around the room offering individualized guidance and coaching.

Supply List

You’ll need to own your own watercolor supplies and you’ll need to bring them to class with you. This will allow you to practice at home between classes. If you don’t already own your own supplies, you can purchase them for $40-55 (depending on your paper choice). and they’ll last you quite a while! Paper is really the main thing that you’ll want to rebuy and that will depend on how much practicing you do.

Check out my recommendations here: Watercolor Supplies. If you’re looking for an easy button, you can see links to my top recommendations all on one Amazon list as well. I’m considering a bulk order of supplies- let me know if you’re interested!

If you don’t want to mess with Amazon and splitting larger packs with friends, you can purchase a pre-assembled watercolor kit from me.

Course Size

We plan to limit this course to 15 students to allow for plenty of individual attention. If fewer than 8 students register, the course may be canceled (in which case all fees would be returned). Once the max is reached, contact me to be put on the wait list.

Be sure to check out our 1 week cancelation policy too!

ESA Families

For teens with ESA, Here’s my MBA diploma if you’d like to use it for reimbursement.
