Create your own beautiful version of Abstraction White Rose by Georgia O’Keeffe.
Starting with a line drawing is a great way to shorten the amount of time needed for an art lesson or reduce the degree of skill needed for an art lesson. Plus it’s always great to relax and color while you connect with a famous work of art. For more ways to use this file, check out the 5 Quick, Easy Ways to Incorporate Famous Art into Your School Day.
We use this particular line drawing in our lesson plan, “Painting in Tones Like O’Keeffe” as a way to allow students to focus on a painting technique (rather than drawing skills) in our short 30 minute art period.
I’d like to give a special thanks to the generous people over at the O’Keeffe Museum for their time in reviewing my use of O’Keeffe’s art and allowing me to include some of her art work here for our students to see!
